This MD5 digest is based on the standard java implementation with the
exception that it converts the output bytes to the common format of
printable hex characters such as many systems use nowadays. The reason I have writen this implementation is to prepare some functionality for general security protection. As digested MD5 strings cannot be decrypted (easily) they are usable for functionality such as verification keys and passwords. Feel free to try out my implementation and report any discrepencies or errors to me. Also contact me if you would like to get a copy of the relevant code on the condition that I am any informed of improvements and/or bugfixes. |
